Kurseong

Kurseong is a quiet hill town located in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India, sitting at an altitude of approximately 1,482 metres (4,864 feet). Known as the “Land of White Orchids” (derived from its local Lepcha name Kharsang), it serves as a peaceful, less-crowded alternative to its famous neighbor, Darjeeling, which lies 32 kilometres to the north. Unlike higher-altitude towns, Kurseong enjoys a mild, comfortable alpine climate throughout the year, though it experiences heavy rainfall during the monsoon season.
